11.2.08 Update: Vote Against Two Discriminatory Judges
Vote Against Robert A. Zarnoch for Judge, Court of Special Appeals
In my Voter Guide of October 30, I gave no advice regarding judges. Since then, I have learned that Robert Zarnoch is an opponent of marriage equality. As general counsel to the Maryland General Assembly, Zarnoch said in 2006, “There is no fundamental constitutional right to same-sex marriage.” His opinion helped uphold the marriage discrimination law that is currently on the books. Therefore, I urge a vote against Zarnoch on Tuesday.
Vote Against Robert Alan Greenberg for Judge, Circuit Court, District 6
In July, Circuit Court Judge Robert Greenberg sided with opponents of transgender equality, thereby forcing a referendum on the Montgomery County law to appear on the November ballot. In September, the Maryland Court of Appeals (equivalent to the Supreme Court) reversed Greenberg’s decision, meaning that the measure is not on the ballot and remains the law. I urge a vote against Greenberg on Tuesday.
